ANDREA'S HEALING PATH

I was not always aware I had psychic abilities. I felt different as a child and was labeled as “over-sensitive.” I always felt there was something more in life that I didn’t understand. Things started to become clearer when my father died in August 1996. When he crossed over, my hand was on his shoulder. After that, I began to feel his presence on my shoulder. I felt what I could best describe as “energy”, and I felt so comforted. It was then that I understood we are never alone. Our loved ones may leave us in physical form, but they are always with us.
I became interested in spiritual development and took a course in Tarot card reading. The instructor told me how psychic I was. I really didn’t believe her, but people started to ask me to read for them. I guess I was a bit of a natural. I had to begin to understand that I was connecting with a source of information that many others could not access as readily as I could. People started to seek me out to give them insight into what was going on with them.
In 1998, a student who had lost both of her parents told me of a book that helped her cope with their loss. It was “Talking to Heaven” by James van Praagh. I began reading it and was amazed how natural I felt about the possibility that people could connect with the spiritual world without being too “woo-woo” or abnormal. The very next day, after I read about a third of it, I had my first connection with spirit.
I did not sit and ask for this to happen. An acquaintance mentioned a new man in her life and was talking about her friend who had passed on. I felt a “whoosh” of energy go through my body and tears streamed down my face. I accessed information about this woman that I would have had no way of knowing. Everything I said was confirmed 100% by my acquaintance. I had so much energy in my head. I had no one to talk to about it, so I just shut down, saying I wasn’t ready – yet!
About two years later, it happened again. This time it started exactly the same. A friend mentioned a friend from university who had died. I felt a “whoosh” of energy go through my body and tears streamed down my face. This time, however, it was different. Things were much clearer. I received more information and connected very deeply with the emotions of this spirit. I could see her and describe her. I understood the circumstances surrounding her death and felt more love than I had ever experienced in my life. I began to understand, that for some reason, I agreed to be an open channel for this information. It did not make me more special than others—just different.
I still did not really know what to do with this, but it seemed like this wasn’t going to be the last time. I started to explore spiritual healing, and had my first Reiki treatment in May 2000. After this ONE treatment, my legs straightened, making me no longer knock-kneed, and allowing me to throw out my orthotics. After a treatment with my first Reiki Master, my third eye opened more fully. I was now seeing colours, receiving clear visions, and getting crystal clear information.
I needed to find out more. I studied Reiki and other healing modalities. I started to connect with crystals and sound as healing tools. I have now dedicated myself to meditation and personal healing. I believe we are all on our own distinct journey. I am so grateful to my spiritual teachers for aiding me in my growth. I am grateful to each of them for their patience and belief in me, as I sometimes failed to see my godspark.
I am now a confident psychic, medium, and healer. I love doing this work and helping others connect with information they need to walk their path. It is so exciting for me to see others grow. I am looking forward to connecting with you, if you feel moved to do so.
