Hanneke has had a love for massage since she was a small child in the Netherlands. This love has carried over into her career as a Registered Massage Therapist. Hanneke uses a very nurturing approach, helping you to feel at ease almost immediately. She is trained to use many techniques, such as swedish massage, trigger point therapy, contract/release therapy, sports massage, relaxation massage, pregnancy massage, and hydrotherapy.
Her main concern is your health. She understands that a person is not just a physical being. We are also emotional, mental, and spiritual beings. Having worked with various holistic health care professionals, she is very aware of modalities that may be of help to you. She will not hesitate to refer you out to a holistic health care professional in your area.
Hanneke has great knowledge of the human body, and will explain what is going on with you as fully as possible. She has worked closely with one of the top sports physiotherapists in Canada, allowing her to refine various sports related techniques. She also worked in the fitness field for 15 years, so she is able to give advice on proper exercise techniques, stretching, and nutrition.
Hanneke is trained in various healing modalities, including Reiki, Quantum Touch, Complete Cellular Mind Body Alignment and Activation, Restructuring , and Hypnotherapy . She uses her knowledge in these areas to enhance her treatments. She is a member of the Hamilton and Area Healing Network and works on her own development and healing.
